SOUTH AFRICA: THE 1/3 OF MEN HAVE AT LEAST ONE RAPE Committed

SHOCKING CONFESSION THAT THOUSANDS OF MEN HAVE COMMITTED AT LEAST ONE RAPE OR MOLEST A WOMAN IN ANY OTHER WAY.

More than one third of men living in the province Gkaoutengk, which includes the capital Pretoria and Johannesburg, have committed at least one rape in their lives or have been abused women. While 7% participated in gang rape, according to a survey was published. "About 37% of men surveyed admitted having committed at least one rape in their lives," the Medical Research Council Research (MRC) involving 511 women and 487 men, all residents of the province Gkaoutengk.Of men, 15% admitted that forced a woman into having sex while she was drunk or drugged and could not refuse. 6.9% said that at some point participated in a gang rape. Overall, 3/4 of respondents acknowledged they had abused psychologically, physically or sexually a woman. However, from the perspective of women, the "confessions" were much more sparse. Thus, only 25% admitted to have been raped. Half were told, however, that have been abused in some way. This difficulty admitting that they are victims explains why only 3.9% who were raped denounced the incident to police. In South Africa crime has reached record levels, having recorded 46 homicides a day. It is also the country with most HIV-positive patients, with 5.6 million people, a population of 48 million, suffer from AIDS.
