His bags for the University MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology) of the USA prepares 16-year old Harry Tsampasidis from Litochoro Pieria. The student was invited for next summer by the management of American university, and has excelled in competitions of the Greek Mathematical Society (NIMS), contests the Balkans, the Mediterranean and the International Mathematical Olympiad.

The 16 year old, student of B class in high school Litohoro, having participated in all competitions of the Greek Mathematical Society (NIMS), but ...
in international competitions, has won eight medals so far, including two gold, four silver and two bronze and honorable mention from the International Mathematical Olympiad.
Mathematical Society suggests that each time a child from the second school, which has been singled out for knowledge in mathematics. "This year I was selected to go to MIT in the U.S. university and I am glad because my labors are rewarded. Certainly was unexpected, since there is one such call every day," said ANA-MPA Tsampasidis Harris.
In dreams of the young is to make a good impression and be able in future to study in this university. "When I finish school I want to leave for abroad. I wish to make a good impression in America and to choose to continue my studies. It would be difficult to fill my dreams in Greece, as there is no proper infrastructure," added the 16 year old .
Mathematical competitions start at NIMS classes V and VI of primary and named "Little Euclid."For middle school and high school are three different phases. The first contest is called "Thales", which brings together students from 15000-18000, the second "Euclid" and third "Archimedes". In each phase involved only those qualified than the last.
After the competition, "Archimedes", selected the 25 best of high school and 25 better than high school, of whom, even after a test stand are 12 students who are national mathematics team to represent Greece in international competitions.
"My goal and my ambition is to deal with mathematics in a research context," says Harris Tsampasidis and sends a message to all young people who have ambitions " Young people should be trying hard. something can not be achieved without considerable effort. And when given the opportunity, will succeed.
